Photography Adventure

A craft nature experience for those who love nature photography in all its senses, the most complete one-day tour of photography in Costa Rica. Our lead photographer has meticulously planned every single hour of the day in order to achieve extraordinary results and lots of amazing photo techniques to capture our incredible biodiversity of flora and fauna.

We are a unique company; Carara Garden has acquired the best Nikon gear possible for this adventure in the Central Pacific. Like no other tour company/botanical garden/tour operator we offer you the legendary nikkor prime lens for wildlife, macro and landscape photography. A full day tour departing from the world famous crocodile river or Tarcoles on a 3 hrs bird photography safari with finest 300 mm 2.8 nikkor lenses, after an incredible boat ride along the Tarcoles and its mangroves we will drive 30 minutes to our newly design botanical garden in Bijagual for more bird life such as Macaws, Toucans, Trogons, Hummingbirds and many more.

After another 3 full hours a well deserved lunch and continue walking along the lush gardens but this time into the world of macro photography.

Macro photography is a cosmos on its own, every single petal, bee, curl leaf can be a marvellous subject to get. A 2 /12 hours of a tiny world not often seen by everyone. With the use of tripods, flashes, reflectors, remote controls etc; we will be able to enter a fascinating universe.

Coffee waits for you! Macro Photography can be exhausting due the long minutes of wait, bending over, on your knees or some of our portable chairs, therefore, a good Costa Rican coffee cup or a mango juice will revive you for the next stage into landscape photography.

Yes, we also have wonderful gear for sunset and landscape images in our heavenly garden with the incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and the Nicoya peninsula. A 2 hrs experience on learning how to take those postcards sunset photos.
